WebPublisher Cart / ESP Options

Our WebPublisher Cart solution allows your users to request or order items from their WebPublisher PRO search results. Similar to an e-commerce shopping cart, users can easily add, remove, and view items at any time while browsing your organization's database.

ESP (Email/Save/Print) is a customized add-on option to Inmagic's line of WebPublisher products, and is a complimentary product to our WebPublisher Cart solution. ESP allows users to select items from search results and then:

• email selections to themselves and others
• print selections from the browser in a choice of layouts
• download selections from the browser in a choice of text formats

The download and print options offer a choice of formats based on DB/TextWorks forms. These can therefore include Inmagic tagged format, EndNote, various citation styles, Excel-style CSV, generic delimited text, etc.

The core functionality of these solutions are part of our WebPublisher Developer Kit and can be customized to meet your organization's information needs.

Core features:

• Easy integration into your web site or existing site templates.
• Easy customization that includes your choice of layout, navigation, information request formats and requirements (such as emailing multiple staff, changing subject line on order email, customizing request forms, and which fields to display in the cart.
• Order confirmation page and email sent to requestor.
• Sample forms include Andornot Next/Previous and Back to Search Results hyperlink scripts.
• Allows users to select items from search results and then email selections to themselves and others; print selections from the browser in a choice of layouts; download selections from the browser in a choice of text formats.

Additional Options:

• Remove "add to cart" option for certain record types, e.g. journals or reference materials.
• Grey out "add to cart" button when item has been added to cart.
• Restrictions on number of items that can be requested.
• Bilingual - English/French.
• Pricing and quantity selection.
• Input requests directly into an orders or requests database.
• Allow users to comment and rate individual items in your database.
• The download and print options offer a choice of formats based on DB/TextWorks forms. These can therefore include Inmagic tagged format, EndNote, various citation styles, Excel-style CSV, generic delimited text, etc.

Requirements:

• Windows 2000 server or higher
• Microsoft.NET framework 2.0 or higher
• WebPublisher PRO installed on server
• DB/TextWorks on server or desktop for design work
• HTML Editor Program (such as Microsoft FrontPage, Dreamweaver, or Notepad)
• ASP.NET editing program to customize data grid templates.
  The free ASP.NET Web Matrix editor can be used to modify the cart and email contents (or Andornot can pre-set these values to your requirements).
