dtSearch Web
dtSearch Web uses a wizard-based setup to publish a large, instantly searchable,
document collection to a Web site. The dtSearch product line displays retrieved
files in a browser with highlighted hits and convenient hit and file navigation
options - next hit, previous hit, next document, etc. For HTML, XML and
PDF, the products highlight hits while keeping embedded formatting, links and
images intact. For all other supported file types ("Office," Unicode, ZIP,
etc.), the product line has built-in HTML file converters for displaying these
files in a browser with highlighted hits.
dtSearch Web also includes the dtSearch Spider for adding remote Web content to
a site's own searchable database. Check out
the Search
functionality on our website to see how dtSearch can be
set up to handle a federated search across multiple
sources, ie. websites, a remote Inmagic textbase;
various documents plus a web forum.
Capabilities include:
-
Searching of Web site content to any specified level of page depth,
-
Support for ordinary public sites, secure content (HTTPS) sites,
password-accessible sites, and dynamic-content ASP sites, and
-
Integrated relevancy ranking with local searches, including hit-highlighted
file display and navigation options.
