Andornot strongly believes in the value of attending conferences to foster professional development. We attend events across Canada and the United States all year long to learn about new trends and technologies, meet with clients, and share our expertise with like-minded folks.
We are pleased to provide this annual grant to help you attend a conference or event that Andornot also exhibits at or attends, as part of your ongoing professional development activities.
The funds can be used for registration or travel related expenses. We hope that this grant will provide an opportunity for someone without access to funds from their organization to network and enrich their knowledge.
Amount: one grant of up to $1,000 CAD is available in 2017.
Application deadline: January 31st, 2017. Check back here later in 2017 for news of the 2018 grant.
The grant recipient will be selected from all applications received by the deadline and notified around the middle of February.
Criteria: Applicants must be working or volunteering full time or part time in a cultural organization (e.g. library, archive, museum, art gallery, historical society) or similar department within a larger organization, in Canada or the United States.
Applicants will be required to:
- Consent to their name, photograph, job title, and the name of their organization being used in Andornot marketing materials for the remainder of the year in which the grant was provided. Marketing materials include our website, blog, social media posts, email newsletter and some printed materials.
- Write a brief post for the Andornot blog about their experience at the conference and how it benefited their ongoing professional development.
- Meet with Andornot in our booth at the conference (e.g. during a break in conference sessions).
How to apply: Applications for the 2017 grant are now closed, but check back here later in the year for news of next year's grant.
