OneSearch at the Saskatoon Public Library

The Saskatoon Public Library has been a long time user of Inmagic software. They use Inmagic's WebPublisher PRO to publish a whole myriad of databases for the reading and curious public. From the Saskatoon Obituary Index and Saskatchewan Art Exhibition Catalogues to the Saskatoon Directory of Community Information, there is something for everybody! The main library catalogue is managed by a much larger system, but these smaller databases, which would get lost in a bigger system or not fit at all, have found a home with Inmagic's powerful searching capabilities.

The Saskatoon Public Library In-House Databases, as this eclectic mix of disparate data is called, can be searched individually or all at the same time with Andornot's OneSearch add-on. The likelihood that you would search all 19 databases all at the same time is a bit slim, but if, for example, you were researching the "prairie" you would find, results in the Government Publications, Canadian Young Adult Literature, Local History Room Collections, Novels in Sequence, Sheet Music at the Library, and University and College Calendars and others. Then you could read all the titles in the Anne of the Prairie Series, while humming Bury Me Not on the Loan Prairie, as you consider attending Grande Prairie Regional College.

Test out SPL's OneSearch and think about your OneSearch possibilities. Do you have multiple databases? Would they lend themselves to being searched all at once? Contact Andornot for pricing.
