The Andornot Starter Kit for Archives works with Inmagic DB/TextWorks to manage archival accessions and descriptions.
The Kit uses the latest features of DB/TextWorks to deliver a professional look, intuitive ease of use, and extensive help resources including on-screen help and complete sample databases. It is especially suited to small-and medium-sized archives with limited IT resources.
The Archives Starter Kit is designed to comply with the following archival standards:
The kit was originally developed in 1995 by the City of Richmond Archives and known as Archives Online; it has been since enhanced and expanded by Andornot.

The Kit and DB/TextWorks are available for on-premises installation, or through our Managed Hosting service.
The included databases can be customized for specific needs.
Use DB/TextWorks to modify the databases or develop new ones, or add on other pre-built Andornot databases for managing artifacts, a library catalogue, donations, provenance, records management functions and more.
For each database, the Archives Starter Kit provides:
Multiple reports are provided, including forms for printing deeds of gift or loan; hierarchical finding aids and an EAD XML report. Archival material can be arranged and described using RAD using four edit screens appropriate to the level of description and type of material. Descriptions of non-archival material (e.g. reference files, pamphlet files, etc.) are also easily managed.
When you are ready to make your collections available online, on the Internet or an intranet, there are several ready-to-go options for you.
